Members of the Economics and Society Program analyzed the new government’s budget, which was approved by the Knesset in June 2013. According to the analysis, the government’s commitment to start adding NIS 8 billion to the defense budget in another year and a half, as compensation for a NIS 3 billion cut in the 2013–2014 budget, will prevent it from meeting its obligations to civilian spending in the budgets of 2015–2018. The full analysis will be published soon.
