"Because of the Cost of Living – Women are 'Invisible Workers'" / Nurit Yohanan, ynet 5/12/2016 (Hebrew)

Studies reveal that women spend twice as much time on household chores and childcare and therefore work 12 hours more per week, but only a third of their work is recognized. "Because of the collapse of the welfare state, the economic situation is perceived as a family problem, and women scale down their careers to maintain the standard."

A study by Dr. Neta Arnon-Shoshani, who has studied the social and economic relations of the middle class and the country, will be discussed in detail at a conference entitled “Invisible Work: Work, Time, and Gender," to be held at the Van Leer Institute.
