Study: 13% of the Working Families are Poor / Sogrim Heshbon on Channel 23, 23/1/2017 (Hebrew)

Prof. Michel Strawczynski: At the time, the child allowances were cut under the assumption that it would lead to significant entry into the labor market. This did indeed happen, even in weak groups. But there is also a half-empty glass to this phenomenon, and that is what our study looks at. The study's conclusion: there is a need for increasing the Earned Income Tax Credit and implement it from the first NIS.
