Prof. Dan Inbar is Professor Emeritus of the Hebrew University. He has a Ph.D from the University of California, Berkeley. His main research and teaching interests are educational policy, educational planning, and organizational management and leadership.
Prof. Inbar served as Director of the School of Education and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and is the Chair of Shifman Cathedra of Secondary Education. He has served in many committees in the Ministry of Education, and as the Chair of the National Committee of Parental Choice, and the Chief Educational Scientist of the Israeli Parliament.
Prof. Inbar was a research fellow at Stanford University, at OISE, Toronto, at the Institute of Education, London University, and at Melbourne University. He taught for four years at Harvard Summer School. During the years 1994-1996 he served as President of the International Society of Educational Planners (ISEP).
For some ten years, Prof. Inbar has been the Editor of the scientific journal "Dapim" which focuses on educational research and teacher training. He established the education unit at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute in 2006 together with Nurit Herman-Almoznino, and chaired it until 2013.
