About:

Traditional rituals still maintain their central place in the popular culture of Arab society in Israel, but economic and social changes in that society and its exposure to the customs of Israeli society are reflected in wedding celebrations. This study examines the depth of the change, as manifested in the kinds of places where the event is held, the types of food served, the wedding arrangements, the invitations, the music, and the roles of the bride and groom.
