“Improvisation” nicely expresses the flow of much human interaction.  Some anthropologists and sociologists suggest that the idea of improvisation is a useful tool of analysis, recognizing that it runs contrary to some dominant views of social structure.  This talk will explore the notion of improvisation and its value as a way of explaining social action.
