Nearly a year has passed since the Hamas attack of October 7, and yet a ceasefire remains elusive. The hostages have not returned, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels, and recent Israeli military operations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem threaten further escalation. In these dire and dangerous times, is there a vision that can end the fighting and ensure long-term security for our region? What lessons can we draw from Europe's experience, from previous peace efforts, and from the ongoing discussions among diplomats and civil society?
