The COVID-19 seclusion caused all of us to converge in our houses, with our family, within ourselves. It has changed family dynamics, destabilized our work situation, and has changed us from when we crossed the threshold of our homes all those months ago. To explore how different Israeli families and communities were affected by the situation we spoke with Dr. Dana Shai Director of SEED Center, Tel Aviv Yaffo Academic College, Prof. Esther Adi-Japha Head of Child Development Program, Bar-Ilan University, and Hussam Abu Baher Director of Afula Branch, National Insurance Institute, Israel.

Esty Shushan and her family are vigorously preparing for the holiday as the epidemic forces changes to their lifestyle and holiday traditions. Rafael Balulu and Oriya Zinni are holding a Seder by themselves for the first time. Doron Tsabari discovers what it is like to celebrate the Seder all on his own

The Day After? program will close with a special interview with acclaimed American writer Jonathan Safran Foer by Haaretz journalist, Netta Ahituv. Safran Foer will discuss his book We Are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast. Which explores the connection between family traditions, global warming, and our nutrition choices. He will explain why meat consumption should decrease instead of drawing a binary line between veganism for non-veganism, and will share the one lesson he has taken from the COVID-19 crisis.
