Dr. Adam Klin Oron
Director, Social Impact
Adam is an anthropologist of religion. He has studied recreation habits in ultra-Orthodox society, public discourse regarding new religious movements (cults), channeling among New Age adherents, and flat earth communities. At the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, Adam’s work has included studies of the status of the humanities in Israel, utopias and dystopias, the memory of the Holocaust, and the idea of boycotts. Adam is one of the founders of the Intellectual Journeys: Young Intellectual Leadership program at the VLJI. Adam heads the Social Impact unit and the digital team.
