Yehouda Shenhav-Shahrabani is professor emeritus at Tel Aviv University. At the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute he is the editor-in-chief of its Maktoob series for translation from Arabic and the editor-in-chief of the Theory and Criticism in Context series. For ten years (1999–2009) he edited the journal Theory and Criticism and is currently also a member of the scientific committee of the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study, in France.
