This documentary project, part of the Ha'Ivrim (English title: The Writers) project, was developed in the intellectual incubator for documentary filmmakers at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute. The research and the film aims to bring to light the life and research of Prof. Gershom Scholem (1897–1982), among the greatest intellectuals of the 20^th century and the most influential scholar of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism in modern times. The influence of his thought reached far beyond the academic world and that of Jewish studies, and continues to resonate even many years after his death.
