The Forum for Contemporary Turkish Studies (the "Turkish Forum") brings together a group of scholars, both junior and senior, who aim to further Israeli study of modern Turkey. It also includes three main projects aimed at enriching the public’s knowledge with regard to Turkey: the Turkish Film Week and the Middle Eastern Film Week, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Cinematheque; a series of public lectures on a variety of topics related to Turkey; and a workshop that brings together scholars from Turkey and Israel and the general public, with a focus on a comparative view of Israel and Turkey in selected fields.
