The uniqueness of every art lies in the medium it uses; nevertheless, all mediums share certain principles.
The Medium in 20th Century Arts has six sections, each devoted to a single art: literature, music, dance, theater, visual art, and cinema. The first part of each section is a theoretical paper that presents a fundamental perspective on issues related to the medium in question; in the second part, artists talk about their work.
