פרופ' חגי בועז

ראש תמת מדע, טכנולוגיה וחברה

חגי הצטרף למכון ון ליר ביולי 2017, ומאז הוא עומד בראש תמת מדע, טכנולוגיה וחברה. סיים את לימודי הדוקטור שלו (2009) בחוג לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה באוניברסיטת תל אביב. בשנים 2001–2013 ערך חגי את סדרת הדגל "האוניברסיטה המשודרת" בגלי צה"ל, ובמסגרתה הפיק קרוב ל-100 קורסי רדיו של מדע פופולרי בנושאים שונים. בשנים 2012–2017 שימש המנהל האקדמי של מרכז אדמונד י' ספרא לאתיקה באוניברסיטת תל אביב. לצד פועלו במכון ון ליר, חגי גם פרופ' חבר נלווה במחלקה לפוליטיקה וממשל באוניברסיטת בן גוריון בנגב.

מחקריו עוסקים בסוציולוגיה של ביואתיקה, בעולם החברתי של תרומת איברים ובסולידריות כמשאב בבריאות. ספרו The Political Economy of Organ Transplantations יצא בהוצאת Routledge בשנת 2022. יחד עם ד"ר עפרי אילני הוציא את המקראה "האנתרופוקן – עידן האדם" בהוצאת מכון ון ליר ומאמריו התפרסמו בכתבי עת מובילים כמו Social Sciences and Medicine, Bioethics, American Journal of Transplantation  ועוד. במקביל לפרסומיו האקדמיים חגי מפרסם גם מאמרים המיועדים לציבור הרחב ומשתתף בתכניות רדיו ופודקאסטים, כך למשל סדרת שיחות על תרומת איברים בפודקאסט "המעבדה" של כאן, מאמרי דעה בעיתון הארץ, ועוד.
